Muscle
contractions, also known as fasciculation is a recurrent expression of movement
of some portion of the muscle in a way described. In other words, an area of the
muscle continues to move (jump) up and down under the skin for a while (few
minutes). It indicates that the muscles are stressed by the effort. For some
people, fasciculations can be irritating because they can cause muscle pain.
People usually have severe muscle spasms after a workout. Areas of the body
that experience muscle spasms are the biceps, calves and Achilles tendon.
However, muscle spasms more frequent in poor countries, especially in the upper
arm.
Muscle
contractions is nothing more than involuntary palpitations a part of the
muscle. This is normally done for a short period of time. It was found that the
muscle spasms in the majority of the population is not a reason to care. Muscle
contractions is often the case when the body naturally react to fatigue stress.
However, neurological disorders can also cause muscle contractions. After the
scientific reasons that answer the question: "Why do muscles contract?
Fear: Fear
is the most common cause of involuntary muscle movements. This is because
anxiety builds the tension in the muscles. Prolonged exposure to frightening
situations or a panic attack may shrink the muscle for a considerable time. An
easy way to relax muscles and reduce stress is to perform yoga and meditation.
Exercise:
In most cases, muscle twitches, the body's response to intense training. Weight
lifting routines can do a lot of stress on arm muscles, which then reduce to
muscle spasms. People hurry to build muscles to perform strenuous exercise for
long periods of time. This overuse of the muscles often leads to muscle spasms,
particularly in the arms. A strict routine is responsible for causing breast a
shrug. Intense exercise is aerobic resolve most muscle spasms. The exercises,
which are known to cause palpitations in arm muscles are as follows:
• Pull-ups
• Bench
press
• Power
walking
• The
biceps curls
Fatigue
that accompanies a long workout can certainly take a toll on the muscles.
Experts suggest that heavy training routines are not recommended, because the
normal structure of muscle contraction, disrupting fasciculations in the arms.
Caffeine:
Excessive caffeine or alcohol can also contribute to muscle spasms. Caffeine is
in coffee, tea and cola. If these drinks are consumed in excess, it often leads
to muscle spasms.
Deficit:
Many people who have muscle twitches show a lack of magnesium and calcium in
their diet in the experiment. Foods rich in these minerals can provide great
relief of muscle spasms. Can mitigate taking dietary supplements of these
minerals in pill form or capsules muscle spasms in the arm to a large extent.
The lack of vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 can also cause excessive muscle spasms
in her hands.
Several
Scelerosis (MS): intermittent episodes of muscle spasms in the arms and legs
are also people who have brought many together in scelerosis. Nerve damage is a
hallmark of several scelerosis. As we all know, are the nerves that are covered
with myelin in the brain to ensure that electrical signals are transmitted
through the nerves, effectively. This electrical activity of the brain
regulates muscle movement. In MS, the myelin sheath by the body's immune system
is destroyed. Consequently, the electrical impulses are transmitted properly
and finally start the nerve also deteriorate progressively. This damage can
cause electrical interference of the myelin sheath and nerve, the involuntary
contraction of muscles. Muscle contractions in MS patients may worsen at night.
The tremors in the arms can come and go, but in some cases it may continue
throughout the day.
Peripheral
neuropathy: tingling in the arm jerks with peripheral neuropathy may show,
often as a complication of diabetes. Poorly treated or uncontrolled diabetes
causes nerve damage, often in the nerves of the arms and legs. Uncontrolled
diabetes leads to nerve damage to abnormally high levels of blood sugar has
been assigned. Can lead to a lot of sugar in the blood over time worsened nerve
function, the uncontrolled movement of muscles.
Electrolyte
imbalance: palpitations muscle in the upper arm can also be a symptom of an
electrolyte imbalance. Electrolytes are minerals (calcium, magnesium chloride
and), which are in body fluids. The right balance of these minerals is
necessary for normal muscle contraction. Studies have shown that an imbalance
of electrolytes cause muscle spasms.
Side
effects of drugs: drugs such as diuretics are often used to treat hypertension
and congestive heart failure. However, abuse or regular use of diuretics cause
muscle spasms in the arm. Muscle twitching can occur as a side effect of
medications such as corticosteroids, and estrogens.
As
mentioned previously, muscle spasms are experienced when the person suffers
from a nervous system disorder such as muscular dystrophy or spinal muscular
atrophy. When a nerve is compressed into a muscle ends or damaged, it can also
be repetitive muscle movement in his arms. In such circumstances, the following
symptoms are observed:
• Muscle
weakness
• muscular
atrophy (significant decrease in muscle mass, muscle thinner)
In most
cases, muscle spasms in my right arm or left arm a small problem and often goes
unnoticed. Muscle spasms that occur occasionally are harmless, and basically the
doctor is not necessary. But is accompanied by persistent or recurrent episodes
of muscle spasms with muscle cramps a sign of neurological disease.
